Fashion has a huge influence in society politically and socially. Through out the decades fashion has evolved and World War II inspired many fashion designers and the 1940's saw a 'new look.'

P. Horst, Mainbocher Corset circa 1939 Don’t go to crazy measures for your waistline! the above and below photos are 70 years out of style for a reason, buy some Spanx instead.
I am 17 years old and currenlty doing an A-level in Textiles. Fashion has a huge impact in my life and textiles allows me to express my ideas through different medias. Some of my faourite designers inculde Vivienne Westwood, Chanel and Gareth Pugh. I am currently doing a project based on British Fashion through the ages so please feel free to comment on my blog.
